Jayne completed the Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours at the University of Melbourne in 2002. From 1998 to 2002 Jayne worked at the Royal Dental Hospital in Carlton, The St Albans Dental Clinic and volunteered with The Royal Flying Doctors providing dental care to remote communities outside of Broken Hill NSW.

Jayne has been providing dental care to the Colac community for the last 17 years. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with a particular interest in children’s dentistry. Jayne strives to complete professional continuing education throughout the year to help bring as many dental services as possible to Colac. She was born in the rural town of Ararat in Victoria and is committed to providing quality dental care to people in regional areas of Victoria.

Jayne has a passion for preventing dental traumas and has successfully partnered with the Colac Tigers Football club to provide mouth guards for all junior players. Jayne has operated the after-hours emergency dental service for Colac for over 6 years and frequently treats dental injuries – especially sporting injuries. The lifelong impact these injuries have on people has sparked a continuing effort to promote cheap, custom made mouth guards. Jayne also started our school and kinder visits to educate the next generation and teachers on what they should do if a dental injury occurs and how to prevent them, by wearing a mouthguard.

Jayne has also helped implement the Colac Young Professionals group as a social network for young people moving to Colac. She hopes this will keep talented young professionals in Colac long term and reduce the isolation some people feel when moving from large cities to the country.

Jayne, James and their young son Carter live in Colac, on a small property. They enjoy running a hobby farm with Dorper sheep and cattle.
